Technical Report on the Assessment of the Status of Implementation of the various components of the National Program on Elimination of Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IUDs) in Armenia
The Technical Report on the Assessment of the Implementation Status of the various components of the National Program on Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IUDs) in Armenia presents the progress of the implementation of the Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IBS) Prevention Program համ Global Salt Iodization Strategy (FDA). The descriptive part includes the legislation on IAEA, the process of iodization of table salt and the main results, data on the production, supply, retail and consumption of iodized salt in the country, the status of iodine nutrition of the population, the prevalence of IAC, as well as the state of propaganda work. The research section presents the results of assessing the level of knowledge of individuals preparing iodized table salt for iodine nutrition in a small sample of prepared food manufacturers. The conclusions and recommendations made in the report can help stabilize the achievements of the national program.
