National Report on Drugs of the Republic of Armenia, 2003

This report is the first national report on the drug situation in Armenia. The first national report is the result of the joint work of the National Drug Information Monitoring Center ազգային National Drug Information System / Network. The information system consists of local specialists representing the relevant governmental and non-governmental institutions involved in the field of drug issues. This national report has been developed in accordance with the guidelines of the European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction (ECDC), which is the same for EU candidate countries. The report uses official information provided by the Monitoring Center’s partners. This first national report is an attempt to present the current political-legal field in the field of drugs in the Republic of Armenia, the epidemiological situation ումները the measures taken in the field of demand reduction. In 2001, the European Union ծրագիրը United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the South Caucasus launched the Joint Counter-Narcotics Program (NPT). The project aims to support the efforts of the governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia to combat drug trafficking in the region, as well as transit through the South Caucasus to EU member states. The program also aims to prevent drug use in the early stages.
